The Adventures of the Voyager Probes

In 1977, two spacecraft named Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 were launched to explore the far reaches of our solar system. These twin probes were designed to study planets and send back amazing pictures and data. Voyager 2 was the first to fly by Uranus and Neptune, while Voyager 1 took a famous photo of Earth called the 'Pale Blue Dot' from billions of miles away! Even though they were launched nearly 50 years ago, both Voyagers are still traveling through space, sending messages back to Earth from beyond our solar system. Isn't that incredible? They may be far away, but they continue to teach us new things about the universe every day.
Ask Your Kid: What would you pack for a journey on a spacecraft like Voyager?
